Thomas Paine – The author of The Age of Reason, Common Sense and Rights of Man

Thomas Paine was an English-American Political Philosopher. He had revolutionary ideas.

Though Thosmas Paine was born in England, he inspired and fought for the freedom of America from Britain. He was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States of America. His two most influential works are Common Sense (1776), Rights of Man (1791), The Age of Reason (1793-94).

The book Rights of Man inspired Mahatma Jyothirao Phule and gave him enough knowledge and courage to fight the evils casteism, deprived women rights and superstitions in India.
