·     Propogated Adwaitha theory.
·     Adwaitha Theory – Doctrine of the oneness of the individual soul and the Supreme God.

Raamaanujaachaarya – Vishishtaadwaitha
·  Born in 11th Century A.D. ·  Propogated Vishistaadwaitha theory.= Qualified oneness.
·  Vishishtaadwaitha – Qualified oneness, ccording to which the soul even when
united with the Supreme God remained distinct.
·   Worshipper of Lord Vishnu.


Basavanna – Veerashaiva Religon
·     Veeraishaivism was started in mid 12th Century. ·     Founder of Veerashaiva movement.
·     Veerashaiva movement is started in Karnataka.
·     Veerashaivists considered human body as a temple.
·     Associates of Basavanna – Akkamahaadevi and Allama Prabhuvu.

Chaithanya Mahaprabhu
·        Lived between 1486 A.D. – 1534 A.D. ·        Chaithanya Mahaprabhu is a devotee of Lord Vishnu.
·        Chaithanya Mahaaprabhu popularized “Hare krishna” chanting.

Kancharla Gopanna / Ramadasu
·        Period – 1620-1680 ·        Another name of Kancharla Gopanna – Ramadasu.
·        Vaaggeyakara = The one who writes and sings.
·        Dasharadhi Shatakam – Written by Kancherla Gopanna.
·        Ramadasu renovated Lord Rama’s temple in Bhadhrachalam.

Dan – Welfare of fellow beings.
Isnan Purity of conduct.
